The Academy accepts those athletes striving for top performance. Athletes belonging to those sports/events for which training is arranged at the Academy are accepted for team sports training. For individualist events the Academy offers sports training services for field and track athletes and swimmers. For other representatives of individualist sports/events the Academy offers, in addition to physical training, all service modules on offer at the Academy. Representatives of any sport/event whatsoever may make application to the Oulu Region Academy of Sport. The condition is that the athlete already has a relationship with a trainer who is willing to cooperate with the head trainer at the Oulu Region Academy of Sport. The head trainer is Risto Keskitalo MSS, who is responsible for the total development of the Academy, as well as for matters concerning both sport and studies.
